PK Science

PK students started off the school year learning about nature and the environment. We took this photo after learning about the 4 seasons:

We recently started a unit on chemistry. The little scientists have been practicing pouring colored water into test tubes and predicting which colors will appear. They are so careful when they pour! I am so proud of these young scientists - we hardly had any spills!! Next they'll see what happens when vinegar mixes with baking soda - a fun introduction to the amazing world of chemistry!!

My PK students have been using the magnifying lenses in science class to learn how to make good observations. We examined rocks, shells, insects (in lucite), and teeny, tiny carrot seeds. Here are some photos of my awesome little scientists!
